Princess Samira Rehabilitation Program
Princess Samira Rehabilitation Program
“Behavior and Empowerment” Program is a rehabilitation initiative launched by Her Highness Princess Samira bint Abdullah Al-Faisal Al Saud, Chairwoman of the Autism Families Association. The program focuses on training and employing young individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It aims to empower them cognitively, behaviorally, and professionally through an intensive 8-month training plan that includes individual assessments, life skills training, and career guidance. The ultimate goal is to enhance their independence and facilitate their effective integration into the job market and society. The program is supported by the Sanad Mohammed bin Salman Initiative and is currently being implemented in Riyadh.
Launched in mid-2024 and continuing through 2025, the program is part of the Autism Families Association’s ongoing efforts, with support from the Sanad Mohammed bin Salman Program. It targets the rehabilitation and employment of 15 young individuals with ASD in Riyadh over the course of 8 months (1,008 training hours). The program includes developmental tracks aimed at enhancing cognitive and professional skills, addressing behavioral and sensory challenges, and assessing participants’ capabilities and career interests — all to improve their quality of life and enable their integration into the labor market and broader community.
